STEP 4. Press F8 to agree against the Windows XP Licensing Agreement.
STEP 5. Press R to repair Windows XP.
STEP 6. Follow the repair installation instruction.
Unable to get logon on the computer Windows is another serious computer problem. This may happen due to invalid registry entry as a consequence of some virus or spyware attack. User can address this computer problem with the below mention steps.

STEP 2. Click Start, Run and enter regedit into the text box. Hit Enter.

STEP 4. Choose the Winlogon folder.

STEP 8. Check that the value of Userinit is "C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe," (the comma at the end of the string is important.)
Important: Modify the path if your Windows folder is not C:\Windows.
